The Antall József Knowledge Centre’s annual conference on sustainability, called SUSCO Budapest, will be accompanied by an interactive event this year. Organised in partnership with Be-novative, the workshop will focus on sustainable energy management, with special regard to energy governance, energy saving and efficiency, smart mobility, the energy supply of cities, affordable energy, and energy and environmental protection.

The Opening Ceremony was followed by a roundtable discussion, Growing Visegrad Identity in the EU? The Role of the Visegrad Countries, featuring Ján Figeľ, Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief outside the EU and Former Chief Negotiator of the Slovak Republic for Negotiations on the Accession of Slovakia to the EU, and HE Enikő Győri, Hungarian Ambassador to Spain and Former State Secretary for EU Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The moderator was István Perger, Head of Communication, European Commission Representation in Hungary.
They talked about the existence of a Central European identity, the unity of the V4, and the future cohesion policy. 🇭🇺🇸🇰🇨🇿🇵🇱

The 5th Antall József Summer School at the Budapest Music Center opened with Krisztina Varju, Ministerial Commissioner for the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group 2017-18, Frank Spengler, Resident Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Hungary, and Péter Antall, Director of the Antall József Knowledge Centre, delivering a speech and welcoming the students.

The latest issue of the Antall József Knowledge Centre’s In Focus magazine focuses on the United States of America in general and the Trump Presidency in particular, while also providing insight into the country’s culture via must-read books, great music albums, US politics-related TV-series, recommended movies, and famous American brands.
