FAQ

Q: WHAT DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT AS PART OF MY APPLICATION?

A: Besides filling in the online application form, you have to submit a short professional CV (with a picture and including a publication list, if available), a letter of recommendation (which must be written in English by a faculty member or job supervisor, and it should be no older than 3 months), a proof of English proficiency (English language certificate or a transcript of records in case studies are conducted in English).

Q: Students or young researchers of which countries are eligible for full scholarship?

A: Students or young researchers with a university degree coming from the V4 countries, as well as the Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership member states are eligible for full scholarship.

Q: What is the difference between the two scholarships offered?

A: In case of those coming from outside the Visegrad region, as well as Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership member states, travel is not covered.

Q: What does a full scholarship cover?

A: It covers travel, accommodation, lunches, public transport, and the accompanying programmes. Please note, however, that it is upon the scholarship holder to cover the expenses of insurances of any kind or the visa application.

Q: DO ALL APPLICANTS HAVE TO TRANSFER THE REGISTRATION FEE?

A: No, only people admitted into the event have to transfer the registration fee, only upon receiving further instructions from the organisers.

Q: WHEN WILL I RECEIVE INFORMATION ON THE STATUS OF MY APPLICATION?

A: You will receive an email about the status of your application shortly after the application period ends. Everyone, regardless of what the decision will be on his or her application, will receive an email.

Q: WHAT SHALL I DO IF I RECEIVE WORD THAT MY APPLICATION WAS APPROVED?

A: After receiving word that your application was approved and you are admitted into the Summer School, you will be given a week to confirm your participation. Shortly after your participation is confirmed, your contact person will contact you regarding the particulars (transfer of the registration fee, travel arrangements, etc).

Q: Will I receive an official letter of acceptance?

A: Yes, you will. Upon being admitted, we will send you an official letter of acceptance stamped and signed by the statutory representative of the Knowledge Centre?

Q: Is it compulsory to attend every lecture?

A: You may miss no more than 3 lectures of the Summer School. If you miss more lectures than the number previously indicated and provide no well-grounded reason for doing so, it will have consequences.
