Marie Krpata works as a Research Fellow at the Study Committee on Franco-German Relations (Cerfa) at the French Institute of International Relations – Ifri where she dedicates her research activities to the European Union and the external relations of the Franco-German couple. After she acquired her main study and work experiences in France and Germany she integrated the Diplomatic Academy in Austria.
Before joining the Cerfa in September 2020, she worked in non-governmental and international organizations. At Minority Rights Group International she developed an interest for minority rights and when working at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe she dedicated herself to the human dimension of security, She furthermore worked at the French Cultural Institute and the French Consulate in Vienna before joining the consulting business where she carried out infrastructure and transportation projects in emerging countries as well as in Europe, as part of which she produced macroeconomic, regulatory and strategic studies. She recently published a study on the German automotive sector, which is available on the Ifri website.
